About Us
Imam Foundation is a non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2021 in response to persistent social, educational, health and humanitarian challenges affecting communities in Somalia. The Foundation is committed to improving the lives of vulnerable and marginalized populations by expanding access to quality education, practical
technical and vocational skills, and timely humanitarian assistance. The Foundation works from a community-centered perspective, recognizing that humanitarian needs, poverty, limited educational opportunities, unemployment and social exclusion are interconnected. Its programming therefore combines immediate support for people affected by crises with longer-term investments in human capability, employable skills, institutional strengthening and community resilience. Imam Foundation places children, youth, women, vulnerable families, internally displaced persons (IDPs), people with special needs, and underserved and rural populations at the center of its work. The organization seeks to build partnerships with public institutions, universities, donors, NGOs, private-sector actors and international organizations to design and implement relevant, accountable and sustainable interventions.
